What’s the rule for wearing white formal gloves with an evening dress?

I am getting married in two days. This is my second wedding and of course I chose to NOT wear a white dress. I have a beautiful midnight blue gown that I think would look beautiful with gloves but I couldn’t find any to match the color of the dress. I tried dying a pair and that was a disaster!! LOL So I think I would just like to wear plain white gloves. Is that allowed during winter in the fashion world? It is an evening wedding.
