Is it alright for juniors to have mens drivers?
My grandson is 11 and Ive just bought him a ping g10 driver hes about 5 foot tall the pro says he shluld have a couple of inches cut off but because it was so expensive I dont really want to. He hits it about 170 yards would it make a difference?
If your G10 has a high quality shaft in it but is too long, you can have it removed and replaced with a shaft of the correct length and swing speed…this is critical. Too long of clubs will alter his swing and then when he grows you can have the shaft replaced back to the original.
However Gold Tech. is changing so fast that in a couple years when he is a SCRATCH golfer the G10’s will be ancient.
I learned from my Grandfather and had a standing time with him every Saturday Morning at 7:30 am ! My fondest memories as a child by far.
He not only taught me to play Golf, but he also instilled so may “Life leasson” while teaching me the game.
I wish I had only took it more seriously then. He knew I could have atleast played college and possibly pro. But then Golf was a sport you didn’t always admit to playing. Silly how as children we made life altering decisions in order to fit in or to “be cool”…Now look how cool it would be to be playing on Sundays for a paycheck !
