Shoes Soft
when do babies switch from soft bottom shoes to hard bottom?

My soon to be 8 month old cannot walk yet. he never really wore shoes because it was summer time (too hot for shoes) and before the summer, he was pretty young and just wore socks. the shoes he did wear were soft bottom shoes, but now that he’s trying to walk, should i switch to hard bottoms? what’s the difference? will one make his feet better in the long run? are sneakers okay? boots? i don’t want him to end up pigeon toed or anything. Any recommendations? thank you in advance.

When they start walking they need a good supportive shoe. Especially for their ankles.

Pigeon toe is a genetic thing. And your pediatrician will identify that when he has his baby appointments.

Most people just keep socks on their baby when they are so young because they are not walking.

A light shoe is also better for them when they are learning to walk.
It is not so awkward and heavy.
Just be sure that his toes are not cramped up in his shoes. They grow so fast.
