please help me choose the right dirtbike for me? im a 15 year old boy with average riding experience.?
hi im open to any opinion regarding the issue and will not take offence to any comments
like i said im 15 and looking for a new bike
i first learnt on an honda xr80 and then upgraded to a yz85 and let me tell ya it was way to much for me to handle and i know my capabilitys and that was to powerfull for me with its sudden bursts of power via the powerband and i sold the bike a year ago only having ridden it 3 times and now im starting to get back into the sport and thinking of purchasing a 250 but this time a 4 stroke as i heard they arent as aggresive what bike should i get as i hope in a years time if i improve my riding to do a bit of casual motorcross
BUT I NEED A BIKE WITH NO SUDDEN HITS OF POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!
thankyou for your time.
A lot would depend upon what size 15 year old you are as to what bike would suit you, but being that age you could race a crf150r but only till you turn 16 then you would have to move on. The crf150r is a powerful bike but doesn’t have that instant hit of power as the power is more even and if you are a bit on the short side you would probably be better off starting on that and then moving to a larger bike when you have no choice due to age.
Any of the 250f’s would be suitable for racing age wise, but are still a very powerful bike, but the power is more even than something like a 2 stroke 125cc.
You should visit a few motorbike dealerships and sit on a few bikes for size and see what feels comfortable and just steer away from the 2 strokes as that seems to be what you dislike with the instant hit of power.
