Will Polyester Blankets Work As Well As Fleece Blankets For The Bottom Of My Guinea Pig’s Cage?

I have 2 polyester blankets that would fit perfectly in my guinea pig’s 2 level C&C cage so I was wondering if I could save some money using them instead of buying fleece blankets.

They’ll work, but not like fleece does. Polyester will stay wet, and takes a long time to dry. Fleece lets the pee sop up and go through to another layer, either more fabric, fleece, newspaper, etc., and stays dry on top, and dries much faster. Since you have it, you can always try it out – or get a piece of fleece to put over it. Fleece can be found cheap in Walmart, Hobby Lobby, etc., or even a cheap fleece blanket from a dollar store.
